Crock Pot Caramel Apple Rolls Recipe (1)

So there was this one time that a little family with two girls was getting ready for bath time. The oldest girl was in the bathroom already, climbing into the tub when there were shrieks and giggles heard from the baby’s room. Pretty soon Daddy walked in with the naked baby exclaiming, “I found RyRy’s ticklish spot! It’s right HERE!” Daddy proceeded to tickle RyRy a bit more then realized that he was holding a naked baby and decided he should probably stop before she …. oh no! Yes, it happened. Pee all over the place!

Dad was exclaiming things that shouldn’t be repeated. Mom was giggling hysterically. Miss K was freaking out from the tub, “RY RY IS PEEEING!!!!!” As if we didn’t know that already. Daddy then informed us all that he couldn’t quite believe that a little girl could get that much velocity on her pee. Atta girl. Make him proud.

Ahhh the moments that you can look back on! Sometimes I’m surprised that I don’t get worked up more over these. You see, back in my “pre-mom” times I was pretty high strung. Not that I’m exactly relaxed now, but a heck of a lot more than I was. There’s sometimes where you’d like to scream, yell, cry and throw a tantrum because life is hard and you just don’t want to do one more thing or have one more thing go wrong. But then I’d be acting like Miss K lately. Uff-da that’s been bad lately. Please tell me it’s normal and she’s three so that’s just how it is going to be. We are talking about blood curdling screams and tantrums when we say no. I know keeping to what you said is so important in teaching them discipline but sometimes I want to crack. Sometimes I do crack. They sure know how to get you don’t they?

Hello quick question, is this saucy? I’m looking to put this over ice cream a dessert. If not, any thought on how to make it saucier?

There may be a little extra! You would have to mess around with the liquid contents to get more sauce!

We tried the caramel rolls (we also couldn’t find the ones with caramel frosting) and found that they were still soupy too. We did 1 1/2 hours on low and then 1 1/2 hours on high to get them so that they didn’t taste doughy. We did not use a Ninja Professional 3-in-1 cooking system. We just used a regular run-of-the-mill crock pot…the kind most people on the planet probably have. We wondered if that could be the problem. We decided it would probably taste better if we just baked it in the oven…but not sure we’ll bother to try it again.

Hey Linda! I’m so sorry this happened to you. I would be disappointed too. Slow cookers all seem to cook at different heat levels unfortunately. I know my new ones seem to run a lot hotter than my older ones.

I could not find the rolls with cinnamon icing. Can I use the version with the butter cream icing?
    Thanks

BG – I’m sorry I missed the brown sugar in the ingredients and I have updated the recipe. I’ve tested this recipe multiple times and I’m not sure why your experiencing trouble with it. All Crock Pots do heat a lot different I’ve found out of the years and multiple crock pots.
